The beautiful tones of purple in this necklace are spectacular. Sugilite, according to Wikipedia, is named after, and found by Japanese Petrologist Ken-ichi Sugi.
The gemstone that is the focal portion of this necklace measures 25mm x 35mm (1inch =24mm). Above the gemstone, and connected by Swarovski crytals, a beautiful purple Lampwork Glass bead, created by Alison Turner. Bali silver bead caps surround the Lampwork glass bead which dangles the focal portion to a curve tube Sterling silver Bail. The necklace chain is 1mm snake chain, and measures 18 inches. I absolutely love the exquisite Sterling silver toggle clasp which has a floral pattern.
